Reinvention

It’s been a little while since I've checked in or wrote anything. But the text messages and mental notes to myself are a reminder of my love of writing.  Basically I took a hot minute, a quiet pause, a beautiful breath in the whirlwind of life. I haven’t dropped one of my “inspiration AF” coffee thoughts in a bit...trust me, it’s not because I’ve disappeared. I’ve been out here living life and letting life live me.  But embracing every moment with gratitude and joy and thankful to God for another day. Reinvention is not a rejection of who you were, it's a celebration of who you are becoming. It’s the courageous act of shedding old layers, embracing growth, and stepping boldly into the version of yourself that aligns with your highest truth OR your Higher Power 👐💪.  You are not bound by your past; you are empowered by your potential. Every sunrise is a chance to rewrite your story, and every breath is proof that transformation is possible.  So rise, rebuild, and rej...

Your Moment

There’s a moment — maybe this one — where something inside you whispers: this isn’t it. Not the life you imagined? Not the peace you hoped for? Not the version of you that feels fully alive? That moment? It’s yours. Yours to notice. Yours to honor. Yours to use as a turning point. Every moment we spend wishing life were different or dwelling in frustration, is a moment lost.  A moment that could have been used to take a step forward, to shift the energy, to begin again. Life isn’t perfect. It never will be...but it can be better.  Better is built through intention, through action, and through the quiet decision to try: even when it’s hard, even if you have fear, even if you have no idea what happens next. We don’t always have control over the chaos around us - circumstances, people, timing. They often move beyond our reach. But what we do have control over is our response. Our mindset. Our choices. And sometimes, the most powerful choice is to remove ourselves from situations ...

One Year, One Warrior: A Sobriety Story Worth Celebrating

Interview with a Vampire...JK, Okay, so this isn’t technically an interview. It’s a story of a pretty badass human whose story has been sitting heavy on my heart...in the best way. After some prayer, a little hesitation, and a lot of hope, I reached out to her.  Her response? “Yes please.” And just like that, here we are. Now, full disclosure: I write like I talk. Which means this story might zigzag a little—here, there, SQUIRREL! But that’s part of the charm, right? It’s also worth noting that she and I have never met in person. We were co-admins of a Facebook group once upon a time, and that’s how our paths crossed. A couple of years ago, we were strangers. Today, I’m proud to call her my friend—and even prouder to share a glimpse of her journey. Sobriety isn’t just about saying no to a drink or putting down a substance. It’s about saying yes to life, to healing, to clarity, and sometimes to sparkling water (which, let’s be honest, tastes like TV static but we pretend it’s fancy)...

Bitter or Better

Isn’t it something? The person you are today - your thoughts, your choices, your heart - is a beautiful mosaic crafted from every yesterday you’ve lived.  Every joy, every heartbreak, every lesson. And now, here you are.  So let me ask you gently: are you bitter, or are you better? If you’re feeling bitter, pause with me for a moment. Bitterness is a heavy cloak to wear. It scorches the soul, not just yours, but those who come close enough to feel your heat. That fire inside you fueled by pain, resentment, or anger - it is not helping you grow. It’s burning bridges, not building them. And that’s not fair to you, or to the people who love you and walk beside you. So maybe it’s time.  Time to shift.  Time to heal.  Time to turn that fire into something radiant. Something magnetic. Something that draws people in, not pushes them away.  Let your fire be a beacon, not a blaze.  Let it inspire, not incinerate. Can you feel the difference? Between burning oth...
